Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. Her work has been recognized for TV and film in the 1980s, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and was raised by her aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. When Bassett was about five, she and her sister were moved into St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived with their mother who had divorced from their father. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after seeing the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) with a major in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama conferred the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in 1980. The school she attended was the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading roles, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
